A Measured Approach
Each piece that arrives here receives unhurried attention — not a conveyor belt, not a quick-fix counter.
Specialist Knowledge
Carriage clocks, pocket watches, and modern automatics each carry distinct movement architectures. The work here reflects that — no generic shortcuts.
Written Service Record
Movement services include a written summary of work carried out and any recommendations for future care — a useful document for the lifetime of the piece.
Regulation Across Positions
Regulation is conducted across multiple positions and temperatures — not a single-position bench check that falls short the moment you wear the watch.
Careful Assessment First
Each piece is assessed before any work begins. You are informed of what is needed and why, with pricing confirmed before the work proceeds.
Pressure Testing Included
Crystal replacements include pressure testing where the case design allows — an often-skipped step that matters if you intend to wear the watch daily.
Based in Johor Bahru
A permanent, established atelier in Johor Bahru — not a pop-up service. You can visit, ask questions, and collect your piece in person.
Your Timepiece Deserves Attention
Send It In for an Assessment
Whether it is a carriage clock passed down through a family or a daily-wear automatic that has slowed, we will look at it properly and tell you what it needs — before any work begins.
Common Questions
Before You Send Your Watch In
How do I arrange to have my watch or clock assessed?
The simplest route is to use the contact form below or call us directly. We can arrange for you to bring the piece in during working hours, or discuss posting it to the atelier if you are outside Johor Bahru. Either way, we confirm what we find before any work begins.
How long will the service take?
Crystal replacements typically return within one to two weeks. Movement services generally take four to six weeks depending on parts availability. Carriage clock restoration runs from four to ten weeks depending on complexity. If sourcing is needed for unusual parts, we will keep you informed of the revised timeline.
Do you handle vintage and antique pieces?
Yes. Carriage clocks in particular are a focus of the atelier's restoration work, including repeating and grande sonnerie varieties. For older movements, we discuss sourcing options with you openly — some parts may need to be fabricated or sourced from specialist suppliers, which can affect both timeline and cost.
What does the movement service include?
Full disassembly of the movement, ultrasonic cleaning of components, inspection of pivots and jewels, replacement of worn parts where suitable spares are available, fresh lubrication with appropriate oils, and regulation across multiple positions and temperatures. You receive a written summary of what was done and any recommendations for future care.
Are the prices shown the final cost?
The prices listed are the standard service rates. If the assessment reveals additional work — such as worn components requiring replacement — we will discuss this with you and confirm any adjustment before proceeding. Nothing additional is carried out without your agreement.
Can I visit the atelier in person?
Yes — we are based at 92 Jalan Tun Abdul Razak, 80100 Johor Bahru. We are open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. It is worth calling ahead if you are making a specific journey, so we can ensure someone is available to receive your piece and speak with you properly.
