The Atelier Approach
Assessment
The piece is examined and the findings shared with you. Scope and cost are agreed before any work begins.
Service
The agreed work is carried out methodically — cleaning, replacement, lubrication, and regulation as appropriate to the service.
Observation
The piece is run and observed before collection — regulation results checked, timing confirmed, and any issues addressed.
Documentation
A written summary of work is provided for movement services — a record of what was done and any future care recommendations.

- Case glass panel and fillet care
- Finish refinement as required
- Test observation before return
- Written service summary
Service Window

Crystal Replacement Service
RM 810
Considered replacement of damaged or worn watch crystals across all common materials. The original crystal is measured and a compatible replacement sourced, with attention to height, profile, and any unusual case requirements. Fitting includes case clean, gasket inspection, and pressure testing where applicable to the case design. Most replacements are completed within one to two weeks. For vintage cases with non-standard profiles, sourcing may extend the timeline.
What's Included
- Precise measurement of original crystal
- Compatible replacement sourced to height and profile
- All crystal materials: mineral, sapphire, acrylic
- Case clean during fitting
- Gasket inspection included
- Pressure testing where case design permits
- Vintage non-standard profiles actively sourced
Service Window
One to two weeks for standard profiles. Non-standard and vintage profiles may take longer if specialist sourcing is required — timeline communicated at intake.
This Service Is Suited To
Watches with cracked, scratched, or missing crystals — both current production and vintage pieces with non-standard case dimensions.

Across All Services
Workshop Standards That Apply to Every Job
Assessment Before Commitment
Every piece is examined before any work begins and the findings shared before any cost is incurred. Nothing proceeds without your agreement.
Secure Handling
Pieces in the atelier are held securely throughout the service period. They are not sub-contracted or sent elsewhere without discussion.
Correct Lubricants
Lubricant selection is matched to the component — not a single general oil applied throughout. Each part type requires a specific viscosity and formulation.
Progress Communication
For longer jobs, updates are provided as the work develops — particularly if parts sourcing affects the timeline.
Collection Conversation
When you collect, the work carried out is explained — what was found, what was done, and what to monitor in the period ahead.
Post-Service Support
If a serviced piece develops an unexpected issue within a reasonable period after collection, we want to know — and will look at it without charge to assess the cause.
Transparent Pricing
